The Food Bank Singapore (FBSG) organised the inaugural Feed  the City event for 1,000 people in need from their list of beneficiary members, that was held at City Developments Limited’s (CDL) City Square Mall on Saturday 13th April 2019 from 10am to 4pm. At the launch of the Feed the City event, looking around at the various booths from The Food Bank Singapore, their supporting sponsors and partners. Packaging Matters at National Museum of Singapore

Take a nostalgic walk back in time at this special exhibition “Packaging Matters” at National Museum of Singapore, into the world of food and its packaging in Singapore, in the era of the early bottling and canning factories in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, to the light industries of the 1960s to 1970s when the factories in Singapore manufactured food. Upon entering into Stamford Gallery, it was like stepping into a time machine that brought me back in time when I was a young kid in the 80s, I spotted a number of familiar food packagings, boxes and designs that …

Q1 2019 Reflection and Updates

This is now the start of Q2 2019 as we bid farewell to Q1 2019. I took out some quiet time whereby I do my reflections and updates on my Q1 2019 on my photography, on both professional/business and personal/leisure segments. A slow start to FY 2019 Year 2019 was off to a quiet start, there were enquiries and quotations, yet not of them bear fruit. Things picked up slowly after Chinese Lunar New Year, I hope that it would start the ball rolling, business growing and expanding  ahead in the very near future. The economy is slowing down, fierce …

The Canon EOS R, the first full-frame mirrorless camera from Canon was announced on 5th September 2018, with a lot of big fanfare, international media and worldwide photographers attention on Canon and their first full-frame mirrorless camera. Carpmael Street Bazaar by The Retro Factory

Vintage and retro flea markets have been one of my favourite places to visit, you never know what kind of treasures and interesting items that you can find at these markets. From my various travels overseas in the last two decades to different countries and studying in Australia, I always have a fun time visiting such vintage and retro flea markets. Back home in Singapore, I was introduced to Katong Square Lifestyle & Vintage Market organised by The Retro Factory (maybe Q4 2016 or Q1 2017?) and I made new friends who are part of the community there! I also …

Love Wheels Café & Bistro

Our friendship stories began 2+ decades back, when we were JC classmates. While we all took different routes in our careers and personal life, we didn’t catch up as much and slowly lost touch as our individual careers took a lot of time away along with two classmates having children. When the message came for an old JC classmates catch up, it was a go ahead, arranging, liaising and gathering the four of us back together for a long long awaited gathering and catch up, at this new eating place tucked in the Western part of Singapore, Love Wheels Café …
