The story of my second hand Canon EOS 1DX

My first encounter with the Canon EOS 1D series family DSLR cameras took place many years back, with the Canon EOS 1D Mark I and II N models. I was amazed by their powerful technical specifications and capabilities. The 1D series is their flagship DSLR camera and I was mesmerised by them. Over time, I managed to get hold of a second hand Canon EOS 1D Mark III in mint condition around November 2010. That was the beginning of some very exciting and interesting photography adventures and journeys. The 1D Mark III was my workhorse camera, pushing it to the …

Canon PIXMA Pro-10 Review

For the photographers out there, whether you are a professional or enthusiast, when was the last time you printed out your photographs that you took instead of storing it in your laptop/desktop or hard disk? Before I started printing my photographs again recently, I asked myself this question too. Why we should go back to printing photographs

I wasn’t sure when was the last time I printed photographs prior to my recent printing of 4R B&W photographs to prepare my Hokkaido B&W Landscapes Photo Book mock up. When I printed the 4R photographs and collected them from the shop, there was an amazing feeling, the pride and joy of my photography works on my hands. The photographs were something physical and tangible that I can show to my friends. This experience was something that I haven’t experienced for a long time, since I stopped shooting film that might be around 1999 to 2000. With the proliferation and …

During this period of time, I finished writing up my stories for my personal photo book, did a final check and made adjustments for my draft Hokkaido Black and White Landscapes Photo Book. When the final check was done, I was excited yet anxious at the same time, pressing the “Buy Book” button on the iPhoto app on my MacBook Pro. I did not know what …
