First and foremost, to my friends, networks, brands, agencies in the photography, travel, heritage, creative and arts industry, I promise to clear my backlogs that I promised earlier in November and December 2023. I was kind of fatigued while juggling on a few different fronts and concurrently preparing for year 2024. 

I would be sharing about my year 2023 in review for my photography (business and personal), travel, creative sectors in arts and writing, heritage sectors in history, heritage, conservation and preservation segments. Next up would be my yearly theme for 2024 for my photography, travel creative and heritage sectors, a different method and approach that I have been using for a few years, something different and away from the usual goals and objectives setting approach.

The year 2024 is paved with economic uncertainties and challenges, geo-political tensions across different regions around the world is worrying with potential pitfalls and spillovers in both political and business areas. This year 2024 might be more challenging for some of us, it might give us new opportunities for us as well. 

In 2024, I look forward to more in-depth, lively and interesting discussions, interviews and networking sessions with photographers, filmmakers, the folks from the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, brands and organisations that I am working with, as well as content creators and artists.

We had low key and subdued New Year Eve celebrations for the past 2 years (2020 and 2021) due to the global pandemic situation at the time. Being able to welcome Year 2023 with a big bang of amazing choreographed and beautiful fireworks display was most welcome by many of us.  

Looking back at Year 2022 in Review: Reflecting Year 2022 (Photography | Travel) and Reflecting Year 2022 (Technology | Business | Personal), it’s time for a fresh new start in a fresh new year 2023. The year ahead has its own new set of challenges and concerns, even as we are moving out and away from the global pandemic that rocked us upside down in 2020.  

To all the organisations, partners and people that I work with, from camera brands, photographers, videography, travel, tourism, F&B, hospitality and creative industries. I look forward to working closer together and on a bigger scale in the Year 2023.  

Once again, wishing all of you a Happy New Year 2023! Good luck and all the best in the year ahead! Wishing all of you great health and happiness with your family and loved ones! Sharing a photograph from my collection, year 2017 new year eve countdown fireworks, since I didn’t chase year 2019 countdown new year eve fireworks as I decided to stay at home instead!

A new year, a new hope, a new beginning, for the business side of sole proprietorship photography business with the start of the new financial year 2019. On the other side of things, my personal photography is a mix of continuation (and revival) of my current photography works/projects, as well as the start of new photography ideas, works and projects that I had been brewing during the last week of the year 2018. I would be sharing some insights, thoughts and goal settings for my photography business and personal photography plans soon! Keep a lookout!
