TGIF Music Station

TGIF Music Station was launched in 2018, they are a free monthly programme that takes place on a Friday night, seeking to showcase both emerging and established local talents in the Mandopop scene. Through TGIF Music Station, SCCC hopes to promote and raise greater public awareness, and appreciation of local talents in Singapore, liven up the Downtown/Central Business District and instil pride in Singapore arts and culture.

Since its launch, SCCC has organised a total of 152 sessions, featuring a total of 496 local artistes. These sessions attracted a total of 53,615 participants and 6 million online views during live streams on SCCC’s social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok as of August 2024.

TGIF Music Station 2024

For this upcoming October 2024 TGIF Music Station, SCCC will be featuring a total of 10 local buskers. They range from the young talents such as Lyla Ng (age 11) to senior groups such as Silver Hype comprising Gillian Goh (age 69) and Davidson Teo (age 65), as well as popular buskers who have released singles and EPs as WHYLUCAS and Jeff Ng.

According to Gillian Goh of Silver Hype: “We are grateful to SCCC for the opportunity to perform to a new audience. Through busking on the streets, we hope to set a positive example of how age should not stop you from doing what you love and to inspire more youths to pursue their dreams, especially in music. If we can do it, you can do it!”

Lyla Ng, added: “I’m excited to perform on TGIF Music Station on 18 October as this is my first time performing at SCCC and I will also be sharing the stage with many of my fellow buskers! Learning and performing Mandarin songs in public has not only allowed me to better appreciate Chinese culture and language but has also improved my academic results! I hope to meet more friends and fans at TGIF Music Station!”

SCCC Chief Executive Officer Alvin Tan said: “Through SCCC’s TGIF Music Station (Buskers Edition), we hope to support our local busking community by providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and interact with their fans, and help them reach a wider audience both physically and digitally. Moving forward, SCCC will organise a buskers edition every October and continue to feature at least one busker for every upcoming TGIF Music Station to provide more sustained support for the busking community.”

ARTAVERSE 1.0 (Hong Kong) took place in June 2022, they have successfully allowed visitors to experience an all-immersive exhibition. The event facilitated the exploration of multifarious interesting activities to interact with digital art exhibits, explore the blend of art and technology. The ARTAVERSE team is established by Right Grace Entertainment, Yiu Wing Live Co.Ltd and Bold Asia in 2022. ARTAVERSE, the first/largest outdoor NFT x Local Art Exhibition was hosted for the first time in June 2022, and is officially sponsored by Mastercard, whilst receiving strong support from more than 100 partners.

For ARTAVERSE 2.0 (Singapore) happening from 5th to 9th October 2022 in Marina Bay Sands, ARTAVERSE is officially partnering with local talent XD Media as co-organiser along with Dify and Emerge eSports as their Stage an Media partner. Through all these collaborations with local expertise, these would enable the ARTAVERSE 2.0 (Singapore) event to have a success level relative to the earlier ARTAVERSE 1.0 (Hong Kong) event which saw over 50,000 people in attendance.

Art x Tech @ ARTAVERSE

The core theme on ARTAVERSE is Art x Tech, the collaboration between Art and Technology, along with all its subsets. The Art-Tech aspect of the exhibition would broaden the focal point to include along Music related art, Voxel art, Local Art, Virtual economy and more. This would also assist in promoting the seamless integration between Art and Technology and also inspire more members of public to join along this evolution into the Art x Tech sphere. 

Through ARTAVERSE, the team also wishes to encourage a new generation of art fans and lovers to not only understand and comprehend the traditional and digital art – but also to educate them on the concept of Art appreciation and collection, even to the extent of creating some of these memorable art pieces. 

This seamless showcase of collaborations between Art and Tech, through ARTAVERSE, would also allow and enable the creation of a new community of fans – one that encompasses both the Artistic and the Technological aspect. This would open up a plethora of new opportunities to display the prowess of both sectors. 

ARTAVERSE 2.0 (Singapore)

For the Arts, NFT, photographers, creatives, Web3.0, entertainment and digital media fans in Singapore, an exciting list of programs and activities awaits you! ARTAVERSE Singapore initiative is three-pronged: Exhibition, Concert and EDM Party, catering to the local Singapore society.

Youngsters in Singapore into Arts x Technology would love this! These areas of focus will span across 4 days, from 11am to 3am, aptly suited toward the youngsters in recent times. The novel EDM Party will share similarities to ARTAVERSE prior concerts while having an added twist. With nightlife having finally returned to pre-COVID days, people will be able to let loose while interacting with exciting artworks during ARTAVERSE snazzy events.

Sound Port Clarke Quay is going to showcase an exciting and stellar lineup of electronic artists and DJs.

DJ and producer, Duumu, who has since reached over five million plays on Spotify and Soundcloud, will turn heads with his fresh take on electronic music. Joining him on the second night of Sound Port are some of the youngest breakthrough artists in Singapore. Winner of the first-ever Singapore Youth Music Awards 2019 “ New Kid on the Block” category, singer-songwriter and producer YAØ will ease the crowd into the mood with hits such as “Scenery” and “RHCF” which has since garnered 700,000 streams on Spotify. Shye, winner of 2018’s Vans Musician Wanted, will showcase her signature mix of bedroom indie and electronic pop.

The music continues on 16 November with R&B, Hip-hop and Soul collective brb. comprising Auzaie Zie, Clarence Liew Oliveiro and Marc Lian who have amassed more than 90,000 Spotify listeners in the short span of a year. Making waves across Asia with their iconic sound, the trio will treat party-goers to a sneak peak of their upcoming EP. Not to be outdone, DJ and co-founder of ATTAGIRL! + BAOWBAOW- A/K/A Sounds will amp up the atmosphere with her inimitable presence and distinct style of electronic music.

Sound Port Clarke Quay will be completed with an immersive, experiential and dynamic environment. Hanging neon-lit geometry, an infinity optical-illusion mirror hypercube, holographic photo walls and illuminated multi-layer visuals are some of the visually spectacular design infrastructures one can expect at Sound Port.

Food and Drinks @ Sound Port Clarke Quay

What’s a fun and exciting music event without delicious food and drinks? During Sound Port Clarke Quay, new tenants Live at the Crossroads and Gabbar, together with all-time favourite Spanish restaurant Octapas, will be providing the fuel for party-goers to dance all night. will be serving fusion food and drinks to fuel party-goers.

Lychee Pale Ale

Keep a lookout for Lychee Pale Ale ($10 per cup), a fruity, refreshing thirst-quencher brewed just a few metres away from the fountain square at Live at the Crossroads. This small-batch lychee ale is only available for a short period of time, be sure to try this unique beer. Other liquid libations such as Sangrias, BIRA beer, house pour spirits, soft drinks and water will also be easily accessible to party-goers without having to leave the party zone (from $4 to $10).

Modern Indian cuisine from Gabbar (chicken tikka, paneer tikka, chicken Biryani), the famous Octapas Paella Vallancia, Asian fusion pizzas from Live at the Crossroads are just some of the featured specialty food items on the menu at Sound Port. All priced at a very reasonable $8 -$12.
