Your Canon Event is built around the idea that Canon belongs in the world of every person who creates things, not jut limited to photographers and filmmakers. This event opens the doors   of Canon’s creative universe to artists, content creators, crafters, gamers, families and anyone who has a serious passion in whatever they do.

Your Canon Event – A Festival for Every kind of Maker

On days one and two of Your Canon Event, Urban Park @ Guoco Tower is transformed into an open, free access maker festival running daily from 11am to 8pm.

Workshops at Your Canon Event

Check out the workshops led by some of Singapore’s most passionate hobbyist communities. 

• Soilboy will host Kokedama and plant repotting, styling and photography workshops
• TableMinis will introduce participants to miniature painting and Dungeons & Dragons 
• Marian Carmel will lead a scrapbooking workshop for those looking to document their memories in a tactile and creative way 

For pet photography lovers, there is a dedicated pet photography workshop for animal lovers on how to capture their companions at their best. Selected sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and may require a small registration fee.

Beyond the workshops at Your Canon Event

Beyond the workshops, there are four activity stations that will run across both festival days. Visitors can collect one stamp at each station before redeeming one random collectible card per stamp at a designated redemption counter.

The cards are available in 5 designs of varying rarity and visitors who collect all four stamps will receive an additional 5th card. Those who complete the full set of 5 designs will stand a chance to win a Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III.

Guided photowalks have also been planned, there will be Canon cameras and printers available throughout the space for visitors to pick up and use, with crew members on hand to guide rather demonstrate. 

Canon PhotoMarathon – The 20th Edition

Year 2026 marks the 20th edition of Canon PhotoMarathon in Singapore, after over two decades it sent out photographers into the streets of Singapore with a theme and time limit. On 25th July 2026, the festival ground gives way to the main stage for Canon PhotoMarathon. 

Canon PhotoMarathon is open to all cameras and all brands. Three themes will be revealed on the day itself, each theme has an allocated two hour window to shoot and submit. Over $50,000 worth of Canon gear will be available as prizes across the Open and Student categories.

New video category for 20th Canon PhotoMarathon 

There is something new for the 20th Canon PhotoMarathon, a video category, open for the first time in Canon PhotoMarathon history, with filming on smartphones welcomed. 

The theme for the video category will be announced at 0001hrs on 23rd July 2026. Participants have until 2359hrs on the 23rd July 2026 to shoot, edit and submit their entry. Winners will be announced on 25th July 2026, the same time as the photography category at the event site.

My 12th Year participating in Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore

I have registered for 20th Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore 2026, this would be my 12th year participating in this photography competition! Looking back at my years of participation, starting off in 2008, followed by 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024 and 2025.   

While I didn’t win any prizes during my past 11 years of participation in Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore, I would try to sign up for the competition when my schedule allows, go and have fun in this photography competition, meet up and catch up with fellow photographers at the event.

TGH Photography and Travel 20 Years Milestone Celebrations till date (April to May 2026)

Looking back at my TGH Photography and Travel 20 Years milestone celebrations till date from April to May 2026, there wasn’t much celebrations and I hope that I can do a few more group celebrations.

I have yet to start working on my 20 years milestone celebrations photography zine, I would need to start on this personal photography zine project soon! There is also an idea/inspiration to print 20 selected 12×18 photography prints from my collections as part of my 20 years milestone celebrations. 

TGH Photography and Travel 20 Years Milestone Profile Shoot

While waiting for my new PGYTECH OneMo Tactical photography backpack and accessories (customised patches, new hats, new t-shirt) to arrive, I was coordinating, planning and discussing on my 20 years milestone profile with my disciple/intern Jermine, guiding and mentoring her along the way. Finally, my 20 years milestone portraiture profile shoot finally took place at the end of May 2026!

A fresh new profile shoot, something very different from previous profile photo editions, no more mysterious profile look with sunglasses and balaclava. I would be curating the new profile photo for my social media accounts soon!

I am still striking a balance between caregiver role at home, and everything else, I am still working to secure more photography projects and shoots, in an ongoing very challenging and disruptive world today, slowing world economy and more uncertainties, coupled with more curveballs from technology disruptions by AI.

Looking forward to produce more different visual stories and content creation in month of June 2026 and beyond, continuing on from where I kickstarted in the past two months. Collaboration with photography brands are on the cards, do keep a lookout!

For the month of June 2026, looking out for I Light Singapore 2026, arts related events, as well as heritage documentation for Harbourfront Centre (former World Trade Centre).

Personal Photography Time

My personal photography time has been reduced due to changes at home, taking on the caregiver role as well as helping out in household work. As I continue to navigate my journey of balancing photography business, personal photography, caregiver, taking care of home and the rest of my other things in life, I hope to find more (precious) time for my own personal photography.

There is an upcoming photography exhibition, the 21st Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition (NAPE) 2026 is going to be held at LASALLE College of the Arts. I have a photograph selected for this year’s 21st NAPE! Last year 2025, I also had a photograph selected for the 20th NAPE!

Personal Updates

My status quo is still the same, I am still finding the balance between being a caregiver role at home, along with everything else. This still remains a delicate and tricky situation. It’s not going to get easier, probably gets more challenging and difficult down the road. 

There are good days, there are bad days, who can understand, who can empathise, without judgement? Nobody can see or feel the amount of stress, pressure, emotional and mental drain inside us caregivers. 

June 2026! Let’s Go!

Even though I am still finding and striking a balance, I would work towards a fun and creative June 2026! Let’s Go!
