Casio announces the new Casio EXILIM EX-10, it’s their new premium flagship EXILIM compact digital camera. The Casio EXILIM EX-1o features the world’s first* Dual Combination Bracketing Function, enabling users to choose from many innovative features at the touch of a button. The range of innovative features include a number of bracketing modes, including focus, aperture, brightness, white balance, contrast and saturation, resulting in a series of nine extremely high quality continuous shots with a single touch of the shutter button.

With this capability, the EX-10 will be able to perform beautifully in situations that are difficult to obtain a satisfactory image with a single shot. For instance, photographing Singapore’s largest garden park – Gardens by the Bay, where trees, domes and the sky would require different settings to be properly exposed. With the new Dual Combination Bracketing function that automatically adjusts the camera settings to manipulate exposure, users will not only achieve better image contrast, but nine quality photos in succession with different exposures to choose from.
During their official launch on a Friday evening held at ION Sky, I witnessed the new Casio EXILIM EX-10 being presented and launched to the members of media and guests present during the event. During the presentation, key members of Casio Singapore management gave us an insight into the capabilities and key features packed inside the Casio EXILIM EX-10. The specifications of the Casio EXILIM EX-10 was pretty impressive and powerful for a compact digital camera.
During the presentation, fellow social media friends Adrian and Dennis of SuperAdrianMe were also present at the event, Dennis was on stage to present and share about his adventure with the Casio EXILIM EX-10 earlier before the official launch event. Do check out their videos below on their adventure with the Casio EXILIM EX-10!
The Casio EXILIM EX-1o is crafted in lightweight yet durable magnesium, equipped with 12 megapixel sensor, with a 4x optical zoom lens, 28mm wide angle zoom lens with a maximum aperture of f1.8 and 5-axis image stabilisation function. The EXILIM EX-10 features in-built wireless connectivity, which—when combined with the EXILIM REMOTE app—allows users to remotely trigger the camera’s shutter, as well as control various functions of the camera. The wireless connectivity also enables users to share their photographs with family and friends whenever and wherever they are, creating more opportunities to bond while on the go.

To provide maximum ease-of-use, the EXILIM EX-10 features an additional three different methods of capturing images: self-timer mode, a motion-shutter function when the LCD display is shifted to its upright position for ‘selfies’ and group photos, and a front shutter-button, which further enables users to take photos ergonomically. These functions, combined with a flexible 3.5 inch tilt-screen, offer users a wide range of angles for more precise and creative shots.
The EXILIM EX-10 also comes with a Time Lapse function which enables users to capture a stream of photographs easily, creating a progressive collage of changing sunset colours, passing clouds or a scenic drive that could be played back in acceleration. In addition, the EX-10 is decked with a High Speed Full High-Definition videography function and boasts Full HD video with stereo sound, enabling users to relive the special moments vividly.
I had a short hands on experience with the Casio EXILIM EX-10, it felt a little bit heavy and wider for a compact digital camera. The magnesium body gave it a good feel and grip of the camera. The Dual Combination Bracketing Function is unique and interesting function packed inside a compact digital camera that the consumer would find it useful with the ability to choose from the choices! The Casio EXILIM EX-10 in my personal opinion (without doing a proper review) during the short hands-on period during the event, it is a powerful specifications packed compact digital camera.
The new EXILIM EX-10 is available at all authorised Casio and EXILIM retailers at the recommended price (SRP) of S$1099.00. Here is the link to Casio EXILIM EX-10 website!
