On 9th August 2012, at approximately 1845hours above the sky at Marina Bay, the State Flag of Singapore was doing a Fly Past,. This is Singapore, celebrating her 47th National Day birthday!
With a big National Day Parade planned at Marina Bay Floating Platform, I wasn’t able to get a ticket to watch the National Day Parade and celebrations, my friends, DK, Justin, Sue and myself decided to camp at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, a great spot to have a panoramic view of Marina Bay and surroundings, it’s also a great spot for fireworks photography too!
Sue was there much earlier to “book” a spot for us and we patiently waited for the Red Lions parachuting from the sky and landing on the floating platform, the National Flag flypast, aerial display and my favourite fireworks! The Marina Promontory was very crowded with spectators, enjoying the atmosphere and National Day Parade action! While I soak in the celebration mood and atmosphere, blessed and grateful for where I am today, there were many thoughts too going through my mind and I penned it down here on my personal blog – Happy 47th Birthday! Happy National Day Singapore! Looking back at the National Day Parade 2012 rehearsals, it was great fun shooting the fireworks rehearsals and aerial displays. Rounding it up is the actual National Day Parade 2012!
I will like to wish Singapore a Happy 47th National Day!
