The journey began when my friend Dave Koh, dropped me an sms, whether I would like to attend National Day Parade Preview 2009, the excitement started building up because this is my FIRST National Day Parade attendance as a spectator ( I was involved in National Day Parades TWICE actually, in 1992 and 1997).
Being involved twice and watching National Day Parades on television, nothing beats being right in the heat of action, even though it is only the Preview, the performers had done an awesome job and kudos to them !! On the 9th August 2009, they will bring it up higher and better !!
Our 44th National Day Parade, “Come Together”, unites all and showcase different chapters in the history of Singapore, what is all about ? Well …. Let the photos do the talking instead ! For me, I felt they had struck a chord with the current and future generations, without forgetting the forefathers and older generations, the progress and prosperity of our Nation. The celebrations and parade had changed a lot over Singapore’s independence years, indicating how much we had grown as a nation.
While inside the gallery, the atmosphere was electric and heart warming, lots of fun and in a sea of red, we were all part of the upcoming Singapore’s birthday celebrations. The performances was like going through 44 years of Singapore history through theatre performances, dancing and singing, capped off with the Pledge recital at 8:22pm and lots of fireworks !
I would be back to capture Singapore’s Birthday Fireworks and share the wonderful display of pyrotechnics and fireworks performance !

I was there watching the preview from One Fullerton. Was one of those who don’t have the tickets.. lol!
I heard this year will be great. I have yet to watch it but I saw the gazette on TV and it looks great. Will be there again on National Day to catch more fireworks if I’m in town.. 🙂
