The LG G6 was the most recent flagship smartphone and it was launched on 5th April 2017. I attended the LG G6 launch event in Singapore and that was the first time I had with the LG G6 smartphone. The technical specifications of the LG G6 were pretty good along with the user interface of the Android 7.0 Nougat. The build quality was really good, excellent finishing, sleek, minimalist and beautiful.

Besides the photographs that I uploaded and displayed in this review article, more photographs shot with the LG G6 can be found in the LG G6 smartphone review album inside my Flickr photography collection. The videos shot with the LG G6 smartphone can be found in my YouTube channel.
What are some of the aspects/capabilities/observations from the LG G6 smartphone that stands out for me?
- Wide angle on Front and Rear Dual lens:
The wide angle feature is an excellent feature of the LG G6 smartphone and this would attract the attention of both leisure/social media users who take a lot of group wefie
- Wide angle photograph – ideal for architecture and landscape photography:
With the wide angle view, this is really superb for landscape photography. For architectural photography, shooting at wide angle, the vignetting of the buildings are minimal and not drastic (for photos shot straight off from the LG G6 smartphone)
- Rich and Vivid Colours of the LG G6
- Filters that stands out for me:
These two filters, Vivid (for colour) and 1839 (for monochrome) stands out for me, that I really like and use in my photography workflow.
- 18:9 format for photography and videography
- Noise at high ISO levels:
The noise level at high ISO levels is pretty grainy for my liking, at times, it can/might suit the photograph or it would give the photograph a grainy feel.
The LG G6 dual lens smartphone is packed with a number of great features, suitable for both leisure and photography enthusiasts. With the wide angle dual lens, it’s really ideal for group wefie (leisure users) and for travel and architectural photography (for the photography enthusiasts). With the UHD video format (4K) and 16:9 format, this would interest the videography users, using the smartphone as a 4K video camera when needed.
Overall, in my personal humble opinion, the LG G6 is a good mix and balanced dual lens camera smartphone (for both leisure and photography enthusiasts) and a multimedia smartphone (for both videography and enjoyment of videos).
I would like to thank LG Singapore and Brand Cellar for the opportunity to review the LG G6 Smartphone.
