Celebrate MHC AidilFEASTri Festival 2024 at IHC

Come on down for a special edition of Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) Hari Raya Open House, celebrate AidilFEASTri Festival 2024 from 27th to 28th April 2024 that will be held at the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) for the first time! Celebrate MHC AidilFEASTri Festival 2024 at IHC!

MHC Hari Raya Open House AidilFEASTri Festival 2024 Theme: Food

The theme for MHC Hari Raya Open House 2024 is food. This year’s programmes will serve up a buffet of programmes, activities and displays showcasing the culinary traditions and intangible cultural heritage practices related to Hari Raya. The AidilFEASTri Festival 2024 programme highlights include a cooking demonstration with MasterChef Singapore finalist Chef IIya Fadhly, Teh Tarik making workshop by Tarik.SG, and a larger-than-life food replicas of iconic Hari Raya dishes such as mutton biryani, sayer lodeh, and assorted kueh.

There are also other exciting programmes at this special edition MHC Hari Raya Open House which will explore the influences and commonalities between Malay and Indian culture, such as

Taste of Heritage: Nasi Tomato, Ayam Bakar and Begedil & Soto Pani Puri with Chef Ilya
Threads of Unity: Unravelling Shared Textile Traditions Between India and the Nusantara,

On top of all this, there will also be upbeat dance and musical performances, such as the medley of nostalgic Raya songs performed with traditional instruments, spreading the festive cheer of Hari Raya.
