The Asian Youth Games is currently being held in Singapore at the moment and there are different sports being played here at various locations in Singapore. It was a great event for the youth, getting more interested in the various sports discipline, understanding sports events management, competing with different sports people from different parts of the world and building new friendships and understanding, in the name of sportsmanship.
With an interest in volleyball recently, I went with volleyball coach Jack to Sentosa, where the beach volleyball was held and today, it was the semi-finals that we managed to get down and watch by the time we were there. The weather was great, nice for playing beach volleyball, except that it can be pretty hot in the afternoon. The match we watched was Thailand vs Indonesia (Boys) and we were presented with an exciting match to watch and enjoy. The bright sun and clear weather made sports photography easier and with better experience, I managed to capture better spiking and blocking actions on my Canon DSLR.
The Asian Youth Games would help promote sports and its participation, among the youths and working adults, bringing us closer to producing Olympic Champions in the future.
Do continue supporting our local sports !!
