Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) Cultural Extravaganza (CE) 2025 returns from 9 May to 7 June! At this year’s opening ceremony of Cultural Extravaganza 2025, SCCC’s signature annual flagship cultural festival celebrating the best of SINGAPO人 arts, the Singapore Chinese Cultural Contribution Award (SCCCA) 2025 were also conferred to this year’s recipients at the opening ceremony.

The Guest-of-Honour at the SCCC CE 2025 Opening Ceremony, Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Culture, Community and Youth & Trade and Industry, graced the event, applauded SCCC’s continuous efforts in promoting Singapore’s unique local Chinese arts and culture.
SMS Low presented SCCCA (Individual) to Mr Quek Ling Kiong, Principal Conductor of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO), and SCCCA (Organisation) to Siaw-Tao Chinese Seal Carving, Calligraphy & Painting Society.
Mr Quek was recognised for his visionary leadership in shaping SCO’s distinctive Singaporean voice and bringing Chinese Orchestral music to new audiences. As for Siaw-Tao, they were honoured for their dedication to preserving the traditional Chinese art forms of seal carving, calligraphy, and painting, and also for the consistent efforts in showcasing these traditional Chinese art forms both locally and internationally.
Nominations for next year’s SCCCA 2026 are now open, with the awards conferment of SCCCA 2025. Members of the public can nominate deserving candidates for SCCCA 2026 from now till 30 September 2025, 5pm.

SCCC Cultural Extravaganza 2025
This year’s SCCC CE is going to be exciting, featuring a dynamic mix of veteran and emerging practitioners and performing arts groups. They bring together traditional and contemporary artistic and cultural expressions that reflect the evolution of Singapore Chinese arts and culture.
SCCC CE 2025 features a range of programmes that showcases the vibrancy and distinctiveness of local Chinese arts and culture. There are a mix of ticketed paid events, as well as free arts and cultural programmes at SCCC’s concourse of the first time – making local Chinese cultural offerings more accessible to parents and children.
