Meatballs fans, there is now a place for you to visit, introducing Club Meatballs at China Square Central! I went for a food tasting at Club Meatballs recently and I was able to taste the different cuisines being offered at Club Meatballs.

Club Meatballs, a restaurant, café and bar, all together in one cosy space, is helmed by Chef La Mei Mei from New York. This pretty millennial chef is of Vietnamese and Malaysian descent, grew up helping out at her family’s Japanese restaurant and working in cafes in New Jersey. After Chef La Mei Mei graduated from The Institute of Culinary Education (NYC) in 2013, she joined David Bouley at famed 12-seater kaiseke Brushstroke on Hudson Street before opening Shangri-La restaurant and lounge in Chelsea. Chef La Mei Mei moved to Singapore a year ago, specialising in Pan-Asian cuisine, her motto is to serve food that makes people happy.

The meatballs indeed live up to the motto of “serve food that makes people happy” because it’s really delicious, it can be your appetizer or even as your main course, a simple and comfort dish cooked really delicious and awesome, that makes people happy.

They serve more than just meatballs!

Club Meatballs don’t just serve meatballs only, they have other cuisines too! We had the opportunity to taste some of their other dishes from the main plates selection and beer bites selection. We had a good mix of different dishes available during the food tasting at Club Meatballs for us to try.

I really like their CMB spaghetti and meatballs (I reckon most places would cook spaghetti with minced meat, they used beef meatballs!) and also their meatball lasagna, both dishes warms my heart and makes me happy eating them!

Do check out their Club Meatballs menu for their full range of cuisines served at their place in the photo below! More photographs of Club Meatballs cuisines can be viewed inside this photo album on Flickr!

Big Baller Battle – Champion Meatball Eater

If you are one of those who love food and eating competition, this Big Baller Battle competition by Club Meatballs would definitely be of strong interest to you! During the food tasting session at Club Meatballs, there was a Big Baller Battle meatballs and spaghetti eating competition!

Take a look at this dish, 1kg in total, that’s a huge amount of food! During our food tasting session, we saw them in fast and furious eating action, eating them down fast and furious! I really salute those food eating competitors, they are amazing!

CMB Wine Cellar

There’s a wine cellar located inside Club Meatballs, they have a pretty good collection of wines. Not the biggest of space though, however, it is nice and cosy space, ideal for a quiet wine drinking session, suitable for networking, meeting or wine tasting.

Club Co – Only lifestyle co-working space in Singapore

Club Co is an interesting co-working space setup in Singapore, very different from the current co-working space options currently available in Singapore. Club Co is an all-inclusive co-working space in the heart of Singapore’s central business district, a new and interesting concept in lifestyle co-working, work, eat, drink, meet, discuss, network and have fun while working there.

During the food tasting session, I visited Club Co, just behind Club Meatballs. It’s a modern and cosy co-working space, comfortable and spacious, with its own café inside there too.

100% of the membership fees can be redeemed on food, drinks, meeting room usage and other club services at Club Meatballs. If you are an entrepreneur or start up, do check them out, Club Co might suit you really well.
