A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away …… there is something mystical, it is a powerful invisible force coming from the galaxy of STAR WARS. I can still remember, as a young kid growing up, I was blown away by Episode IV – A New Hope, Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. While I wasn’t exactly sure which of the three original Star Wars trilogy that I watched first (probably Episode VI – Return of the Jedi), I became a big fan of the Star Wars saga, following their new stories when Star Wars I – The Phantom Menace, Star Wars II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars III – Revenge of the Sith.  With anything Star Wars, I was keen and excited to follow the new stories and beyond.

Recently, Star Wars came/moved into Singapore, with the official opening of the Sandcrawler building in Singapore, it started to fuel my excitement for Star Wars again. Visiting the Sandcrawler building in Singapore and finding Master Yoda, it was like a padawan seeking the Jedi Master! With an excitement building inside me all over again, I am start searching for my Star Wars saga story books, comics and posters. Even though I didn’t start any Star Wars toys collection, I was slowly influenced by my Cousin Joel pretty awesome Star Wars Lego toys collection and a dedicated glass cabinet to display his Star Wars toys and DK‘s collection and photographs of Star Wars Lego figurines! Starting my Star Wars Lego story is another adventure that I will share in another post coming soon! There were 2 photographers with some awesome and mesmerising Star Wars Lego and Toys photography, check out Vesa Lehtimaki and Jooka5000 photographs on Flickr! One day in the future, I want to do something like them too!

Star Wars Day, May The 4th worldwide, a day where Star Wars fans all around the world celebrate. From the photographs and sharing on social media platforms, you can see how huge and far away is the Star Wars galaxy movement! In Singapore, Star Wars Day on May The 4th was held at the Jurong East Library with lots of fun and excitement for the young and young at heart (old). There were showcase of Star Wars vintage toys collection, artworks, story telling,  customised stormtrooper helmet display & sale and the favourite 501st Legion Singapore Garrison appearance, entertaining fellow Star Wars fans and taking photographs with them! The 501st Legion Singapore Garrison made an appearance at Kinokuniya Free Comics Book Day 2014 on 3rd May and it was a crowd puller! Check out my photographs from Star Wars Day 2014 in Singapore – MayThe4thSG!

Celebrating Star Wars Day for the first time officially in 2014, the experience was great and fun! I am looking forward to slowly add more Star Wars Lego and maybe Star Wars Toys too! The fun and excitement, the toys and the future Star Wars saga into Episode VII (coming to the screens in December 2015) and beyond. The Force is Strong and we all Star Wars fans can feel it! The Force is a common and powerful bond that ties and attracts all the Star Wars fans together.
