The tourism and travel industries have always been a significant contributor to the world global economy. More than just revenue and growth for the countries, tourism and travel have bridged and connected global citizens from all over the world. In part two of my special travel stories series (part one was “Travel Wanderlust February 2020 edition”), I am writing about travel and tourism on the international level, 2020 LUX Travel & Tourism Awards.

2020 LUX Travel & Tourism Awards

The travel and tourism industry is, by all regards, a goliath, accounting for multi-trillion dollar expenditure every year and single-handedly fuelling global economies. Despite this, the sector is incredibly competitive, and expectations require nothing short of excellence to reap continued success.

LUXlife launched the Travel & Tourism Awards to recognise those who have dedicated themselves to offering the finest experiences, product and services in the industry. Whether established stalwarts, or up and coming newcomers, we endeavour to seek out the paragons who lead the pack and set the benchmark.

Steve Simpson, Awards Coordinator, comments: “Travel and Tourism encompasses a vast array of different businesses. Whether working in the hospitality, entertainment, or food and beverage sectors (and everything in between), companies of all shapes and sizes contribute to creating exquisite memories for people all over the world. Congratulations to all of my winners and I hope you have a delightful 2020 ahead.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to make an announcement that I am one of the recipients of 2020 LUXlife Travel & Tourism Awards!

Travel Photographer of the Year 2020 – South East Asia

It all started with an email from LUXlife that I was nominated for the 2020 LUXlife Travel & Tourism Awards. At the back of my mind at that time, my thought was, let’s submit and see how it goes from there. Thereafter, I received the news that I am the recipient for Travel Photographer of the Year 2020 – South East Asia.

Finally, it’s official and I can make this announcement, on this leap year day 29th February 2020! I would like to sincerely thank LUXlife for selecting me as Travel Photographer of the Year 2020 – South East Asia! Please do visit https://www.lux-review.com/ and check out the other award winners too!

Personally and professionally, I hope that this would help me in expanding my travel photography and travel writing portfolios, an area that I have been working on for the past few years apart from my commercial photography business. The travel and tourism areas have always been a part of me since young, when I started off my photography learning at a young age in primary school, my inspiration was from National Geographic print magazines, their travel photographs, documentaries and stories. They have always been my inspiration from my self-learning photography journeys over the past three decades.

Although the Year 2020 is going to be a huge test for the global travel and tourism industries around the world, no thanks to the COVID-19 virus situation. The whole world has to unite together, combat this COVID-19 virus and we can return back to our love for traveling around the world.

Thank you once again to LUXlife, my family, relatives, friends, fellow travel photographers, travel writers and travel bloggers for their support, encouragement and networking on social media!
